Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by iPolish Clearances (a trading name of iPolish Group Ltd.) ("we", "our", "us") to you ("the client", "you"). By accepting our quotation and engaging our services, you agree to be bound by the following terms:

1. Booking & Quotations

1.1 All enquiries receive a free, no-obligation site visit to assess the property and determine the scope of work.

1.2 Following the visit, a written quotation will be sent by email or text. This quotation is valid for 14 days unless otherwise agreed.

1.3 Quotations are based on the estimated volume, type of waste, access, and labour requirements. Additional charges may apply if the scope of work changes or if undisclosed items/hazards are present.

2. Payment Terms

2.1 iPolish Clearances will invoice the client immediately following the completion of each service.

2.2 Individual clients:

a) A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure the clearance date. This can be paid by bank transfer or other agreed method.

b) The remaining 50% is due on the day of completion, no later than 7:00 PM.

c) If payment is not received in full by 7:00 PM on the completion day, a late payment fee of £25 per day will be applied until the balance is cleared.

d) iPolish Clearances reserves the right to withhold removal of items or completion of the job if the deposit has not been received prior to the agreed date.

e) In the case of non-payment, we reserve the right to pursue legal recovery and add debt collection and legal fees to the outstanding amount.

2.3 Business clients:

a) Will be granted a payment term of 14 days from the date of the invoice.

b) Payment must be made in full within the specified 14-day period unless otherwise agreed in writing between iPolish Clearances and the business client.

c) Any additional charges incurred during the provision of the clearance, will be added to the final invoice and subject to the same payment terms as the original service.

d) New business clients engaging iPolish Clearances' services for the first time may be required to make a deposit of 50% of the total invoice amount upfront before work commences.

e) The remaining 50% of the invoice will be due within the agreed 14-day payment term after the completion of the clearance.

2.4 When payment of any invoice is overdue, iPolish Clearances may suspend its performance of any works, job, contracts, other business partnerships or of any other contract then subsisting between iPolish Clearances and the client. The suspension of such contract will not be deemed as underperformance of iPolish Clearances’ obligations and will still be charged to the client as per standard terms and conditions.

2.5 In the event of legal action being taken by iPolish Clearances against the client for breach of payment obligations hereunder, the Client shall be responsible for all costs and disbursements incurred by iPolish Clearances on a full indemnity basis.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

3.1 Cancellations will result in a forfeiture of the deposit.

3.2 Jobs may be rescheduled once, without penalty, with a minimum of 48 hours’ notice, subject to our availability.

3.3 Each rescheduling (more than once) will incur a penalty of £50.

3.4 In the event that iPolish Clearances must reschedule the job and a mutually agreeable new date cannot be arranged, the client may cancel the booking and receive a full refund of the deposit.

3.5 If the client breaches any part of these Terms and Conditions, iPolish Clearances reserves the right to suspend or terminate the clearance immediately. In such cases, the deposit will not be refunded, and any further work will be subject to renegotiation and additional charges.

4. Scope of Work

4.1 We provide tailored clearance services for properties including houses, flats, lofts, garages, gardens, offices, warehouses, and more.

4.2 We also undertake specialist clearances such as hoarding and biohazard situations. These will require separate risk assessments and may incur additional charges.

4.3 Our team is responsible for sorting, removal, and disposal of unwanted items, including responsible recycling where possible.

4.5 It is the client’s responsibility to inform iPolish Clearances of the presence of any firearms, ammunition, or weapons prior to the commencement of the clearance. Failure to do so may result in immediate suspension of the service, and such items will not be handled under any circumstances without prior agreement and proper legal arrangements.

5. Access & Safety

5.1 The client is responsible for providing clear and safe access to the property and any specific instructions relevant to the job.

5.2 Delays or extra costs arising from restricted access or unsafe conditions may be subject to additional charges.

5.3 If the clearance cannot proceed due to unsafe conditions, we reserve the right to postpone or cancel the job. The deposit will be retained to cover costs.

6. Insurance & Certification

6.1 iPolish Clearances is fully insured, with Public Liability and Waste Carrier Licence in place.

6.2 All staff members are DBS checked, fully trained, and act with professionalism and discretion at all times.

6.3 While we take the utmost care during clearance, we are not liable for minor cosmetic damage caused during the course of necessary removal work (e.g., scuffed walls during large item removal).

7. Valuables & Personal Items

7.1 It is the client’s responsibility to remove or clearly mark any items not to be cleared.

7.2 From the moment the clearance begins, all unmarked and removable items on the premises become the property of iPolish Clearances. This includes any items of resale or donation value. We reserve the right to dispose of or retain these items at our discretion, unless otherwise agreed in writing prior to the clearance.

8. Disposal & Recycling

8.1 We are committed to environmental responsibility and will recycle, donate, reuse or resell items where possible.

8.2 A copy of the Waste Transfer Note can be provided upon request.

8.3 We are licensed waste carriers and dispose of all waste through authorised facilities.

9. Complaints & Disputes

9.1 Any concerns or complaints must be reported within 24 hours of the completion of the job.

9.2 We aim to resolve all issues quickly and professionally. If resolution cannot be reached, both parties agree to consider mediation before legal action.

10. Legal & Liability

10.1 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

10.2 Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

10.3 iPolish Clearances shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform any part of the service due to causes beyond our reasonable control (e.g., weather, road closures, illness, or strikes).
